
KID COVID Research Study at the University of Pittsburgh
Our Purpose
This research study is being conducted to learn more about the impact of COVID-19 and flu on cognition and mental health in adolescents. Studies have suggested that adolescents have an increased risk for mental health issues and cognitive impairment after having COVID-19.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
- 12-17 year olds who tested positive for COVID-19 or flu in the past month
- 12-17 year olds with current cold or flu symptoms
- 12-17 year olds who have been free of flu or COVID-19 in the past 6 months

WHAT DOES THE STUDY INVOLVE?
- Questionnaires and online interviews
- Saliva samples, blood samples, nasal swab
- Body measurements
- Computer tasks
- Follow-up visits at 3, 6, and 12-months
- Teens can earn up to $450 and parents can earn up to $100
